LAN Cable |
Nowadays, for a smooth flow of communication, cable plays very
vital role. A networking cable is a very important factor for transferring information from one
location to another. Though there are various kinds of cables that are normally
used with LANs, hence known as LAN cables.
Type of cable being used entirely depends upon the related networks protocols,
topology and its size.
There are several forms of cable used in networking as LAN
cable; some of them are as follows:
- UTP Cable (Unshielded Twisted Pair)
- STP Cable (Shielded Twisted Pair)
- Fiber Optic Cable
- Coaxial Cable
Twister cable in general terms refers to a type of wire which has
2 conductors of an individual circuit and they are twisted together in a way so
that it could cancel the EMI (electromagnetic interference) from the external
sources, for an example, EMI from the UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cables and
also the crosstalk in between the neighboring pairs. In case of balance pair
operation, there are in total two wires that hold similar& distinct signals
as well as destinations that diagnose the space between the two. This process
is called a differential mode transmission.
Distinct Categories of
Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) Cable
This UTP cable is specifically divided into 3 main categories
varying upon the equipment that is being used for establishing the connection.
So, the names of these categories are as follows:
- Roll Over Cable
- Straight Through Cable
- Cross Over Cable
- Roll Over Cable - These cables are used for connection to console port of the device. It has the name “Roll Over” because the pin that comes out of one end can be easily reversed from the other end, it would be like the wire is been rolled over from one end and you are viewing it from the other side.
- Straight Through Cable - Straight through cables are those that are used for connecting devices like switch with PC or router with switch etc. This type of cable can be used when each end point of communication passes and receives on distinct pairs.
- Cross Over Cable - This type of cable includes send and receive wires i.e. crossed over which indicates the wires are opposite on different ends. This permits the two PCs to connect to each other; it allows connecting the sending of one computer with the receiving of other.
Networking Cable |
If you are looking for a reliable manufacturer of networking
cables then Chanda
Overseas is the one. It offers different types of
cables such as Shielded cable, CCTV camera cables, CAT 6, CAT 5, Aluminum
cable, Round cable, Data and communication cables, Coaxial cables etc.
One thing to consider is about 15% of all males are slightly color blind and only about 10% think they are. Many colors look the same but often times a color blind person can easily tell the difference between say tan cat6 snagless networking cable and beige cables but can't tell the red from the green.
